lyrics
The Howling Hell draws near
It can smell your fear
Like a moth to flame
You spoke the nameless name
The light within your eyes
Suffocates and dies
You stare into the black
And hell stares back at you
The Howling Hell is near
Your soul begins to tear
In vain you try to pray
Your mouth filled with decay
Your color starts to drain
Blood frozen in your veins
You stare into the black
And hell stares back at you
The Howling Hell is here
The end is near
Know that there will be no
Mercy on your soul
The mouth of hell agape
Unfurl the funeral drape
You stare into the black
And hell stares back at you

Pretty much the best Black/Speed Metal I've listened to since I learned about Evil Invaders and Vulture. Everything you'd love to be reminded of about this musical era is there. The influences are what you'd expect too: Motörhead, Venom, Bathory, early Slayer, Celtic Frost; aggressive vocals, tortured guitar solos, pounding drums; everything is fast, clear and still a little grimy, but without reverb cranked up to the max. Amazing band, amazing album. Odiumediae
A thunderous return from the post-hardcore stalwarts, whose ranks include members of Converge, Cave In, and High on Fire. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 2, 2023

An outstanding Extreme doom death album, in the best tradition. The funerary atmosphere reminds of Evoken ('Centuries of ooze" bears striking similarities, for my delight). It is overall sharp, dark, hypnotic and unrelenting. One of those rare convincing new bands that hold proud the legacy of the biggest names. Bertrand Marchal
